MCC OF TOPEKA MISSIONAL OBJECTIVES

MCC Topeka is committed to spiritual growth and enlightenment as we seek to minister in the ways of Christ and the love of God. We will seek God’s will as we focus on the following Missional Objectives to guide us on this spiritual journey.

• Continue to build on our history as we expand our outreach and support services to meet the needs of those effected and affected by HIV/AIDS in our community and around the world.

• Following the example of Christ, we will reach out to the isolated and disenfranchised within our community, especially the elderly, trans community and persons with different abilities, with programming to provide resource linkages, resources to navigate the assistance/aid systems, volunteers to assist and improve quality of life opportunities for these populations (i.e. drive to appointments, church, social events, etc., fix things in their homes, yard work), and access to life essentials through food pantries etc.

• Serve as a community center that offers activities, resources and education. This center will provide a resource center, space for support and recovery groups, space for and offerings of a variety of educational opportunities, referral services, pastoral counseling and safe space for development of other skills and services to meet the needs of the community.
